Total Paisa Vasool ( Value for money) is what I can say for describing this fabulous place.
I’m a #Thali fan and for some reason had always missed on being here. One of the major reasons being the waiting time here. Its always full whether you visit on a weekday or a weekend. A waiting for minimum 30 minutes is the least.
On my birthday night for a family dinner I chose Maharaja Bhog. I wouldn’t have made a better choice as I wanted some wholesome amazing Indian Food and I got it.
Their hospitality starts from the moment you step it. The ambiance is very welcoming. Tall ceiling , walls adorned withimages of indian spices etc. LED screens ( small ones ) displaying the details of the menu and comfortable seating. It suits a family dinner perfectly.
To Start with you are given a welcome drink that’s Kesar Milk . I’m not fond of milk so I found it Okay. And , then starts the continuous bombardment of food. Food just keeps on coming. We had some amazing starters in our Thali – Khandvi , Veg Cutlets. The chutneys that accompany are yummmm. The Salad is fresh n crunchy. Dal Bati Churma with loaded ghee is a cherry on the top. Four different kinds of Sabjis – One potato preparation , Palak Paneer , Undiyo and another veg that I cant recollect. All were tasty. Especially the Palak Paneer was lip smacking. Sabjis are accompanied by assorted rotis. The best thing is piping hot rotis keep coming in. There is Meethi & Teekhi Dal , Kadhi ( Gujju or Sindhi ) A Dessert and Custard. Custard of the day was apple I easily finished two or three plates. Assorted papads are like a blessing. But my favourite was the Ghee loaded Dal Khichdi and the Masala Chaas.
I couldn’t have enough of it until my stomach hurt. All of this and cost for two is just INR 700 . Totally recommended if you like Thalis and you want some good homely food.
