Event: Relaunch of Brasserie, Hilton Mumbai

This restaurant is a legend, but this post is about something even bigger: its relaunch! And trust us, this isn't your average relaunch.

 

#Brasserie has a everything new! From the menu to the decor, except, the excellent team behind it. Chef Altamsh and his team have created magic with the new menu. The old menu has been replaced with a new, concise, and modern one, designed to appeal to today's diners.

 

I had the opportunity to attend the launch party hosted by Hilton Mumbai International Hotel and organised by Katalyst Reputation Management.

There was a specially curated tasting menu for the evening.


But before we started with our meal, there was a warm welcome by the General Manager of the hotel Mr. Deepak Kumar. And a lovely toast by the owners. Executive Chef Altamsh Patel guided us through the menu, sharing the stories behind the unique dishes.

With the clinking of Champagne glasses, the evening's celebration began.The mood was already set by beautiful live music.

We started our vegetarian tasting menu with a vibrant – Yam phak Ruam Salad, Followed by Asparagus and Celeriac Shorba which was creamy yet so light and oh so aromatic!

From the small plates we had the Bharwan Kashmiri Gucchi. A rare mushroom known for its umami flavours prepared in a Bharwan Mirchi style.

For mains we had a beautiful Pearl Barley Marinara Risotto, the texture of the pearl barley was top notch!

However, the dessert called ‘Flower Market Bliss’ was a treat for the eyes! It indeed looked like there was a flower market on the plate. This was a floral dessert with a perfect balance of sweet and herby flavors.
