A hub of culinary culture, there are ample food experiences for every foodie out there. Here are some of our recommended picks.
1. Traditional Czech Food experience
There are many food tours offered by many suppliers that cover the traditional Czech Cuisine. Svíčková , Goulash, Trdelník, Palačinky are some popular Czech dishes you must try in Czech.
For vegetarians like us, we tried their traditional Smazeny Syr (fried cheese) Bramborak (potato pancake), Lagos( A small pizza variant) etc.
We have also linked in food tour in Prague
2. Enjoy a meal at 200 yrs old Tavern- U krále Brabantského
This is the oldest pub in Prague which dates back to 1375!
You can not miss this, as its at the footsteps of the Prague Castle. The staff here is dressed as traditional medieval Czech people and are super cheerful. We were startled when our server slammed a glass of beer on our table but then we realized that’s the tradition here :P As its in the tourist trap area, its super expensive. Its really dark inside and it takes you back in time. If you have time, you must attend their local entertainment show as well.
3.Visit Starbucks on Prague Castle
This Starbucks, sits at the top of castle, offering a panoramic picture-perfect view of the city. Indoor seating is as good as outdoor. However, we recommend sitting in its terrace area on a windy afternoon. The staff here is cheerful and the ambiance is amazing!
4. Beer tasting at Pilsner Urquell
At Wenceslas Square, we spotted this Pilsner Urquell: The Original Beer Experience. Its gives you an immersive tour of the history of Pilsner beer, and beer culture along with beer tasting.

5.Marijuana shopping at the markets
The first thing you’ll notice in Prague is the number of Marijuana shops literally anywhere in the city. Especially the tourist spots are loaded with shops flaunting Cannabis and Absinth products.
6.Dinner Cruise in Prague
This is definitely one of the most romantic things to do in the city. Although very commercial, having a dinner sitting in the cruise and seeing the gorgeous city pass by is just beautiful. You can opt for buffet or a set menu. They have live music on board as well. As we visited in Novemember and that day turned out to be particularly rainy day, a mulled wine in the cruise sure helped.
