Hotel Review: Airbnb in Salzburg
Location: Glockmuhlstarber
Date: 8-11 November
Duration: 3 nights
Yet another similar situation what we faced in #Vienna was waiting for a repeat in Salzburg. A friend had warned us it was going to be expensive, but we had not paid much attention and by the time we came around actually booking, very few reasonable options (hotels) were unavailable. One of the AirBnbs which were closer to the city got sold out in half a day before we could even make a decision. So we had to opt for this one. Guess that worked in our favour because we would not have opted for something like this which was away from the main city. But good lord, was it pretty!
Owned by the couple – Anita and Lucas, this quaint #AirBnb is located in an old mill compound hence it has a #vintage structure (it apparently dates back to 1600s)
We were excited like kids to have such a huge room all to ourselves in Europe (given the small rooms which Europe is known for) Upon reaching here we were honestly, quite worried about the connectivity. However, Anita guided us to the nearest bus stop and we were sorted thereafter.
Room was huge! Lots of big windows ensuring ample sunlight even during the gloomy days. A study table and a dining table that gave it a look of a home. The sleep quality of the room was excellent!
Bathroom although shared was used only by us during our stay. It had all the possible supplies we could ask for. Anita indeed was very thoughtful and creative in terms of decorating and managing the house.
The waterfall closeby was the cherry on top!
Note: Its an AirBnb ( A House) do not expect hotel like service.
Pros: Close to nature, Quaint, Cozy, Huge Space, Warmth by the owners, View
Cons: Shared bathroom (although pretty much private but not inside the bedroom) Slow Assistance/ Response. Does not include Kitchen or Cooking facilities.
