I am glad, lately there are many small eateries coming up in Mumbai that specialize in Burgers. The Burger Brasserie is definitely one of them. ‘India in every bit’ is their tag line and I completely agree with them.

Last Friday , we were invited by Swapnil – the owner of The Burger Brasserie. It’s a tiny outlet in SAB TV lane in Lokhandwala, that has been functional since past 7 months. With a strong hotel and Hospitality background , Swapnil is very confident about his baby – i.e. TBB ( The Burger Brasserie ) He has designed the menu carefully not making it very confusing and keeping it very simple.
Menu consists of Burgers , Pita Pockets , Fries & Poutines in Food.
Iced Teas , Hot Coffee variants and milkshakes in Drinks.
It has got an indoor seating for about 10 people and outdoor seating of about 10-15 people. From what I saw , outdoor seating seemed to be popular as there were many young adults gorging on TBB’s really big burgers. Music is a mix of 90’s to current billboard.
We chose to sit inside. After having a little chat with Swapnil we started with our review.
Here’s what we had
Pav Bhaji Burger – I can’t say that it was my favourite as I had loved the other burger equally. Both can not be compared as they are so distinct in their flavor. The patty in this one is made up of Pav Bhaji. Big buns ! and I mean big burger buns ! There is a layer of Mayo. Patty lies on a bed of lettuce , onions and tomatoes. It’s a task to finish one all by yourself. I took my friend’s help 😉
Palak Paneer Burger – This one had a patty made of a well marinated Palak Paneer. Chopped and spiced tomatoes were garnished over it. The other half of the bun had their in house Chilly Mayo. Looked amazing , tasted even better.

The best thing about these burgers was , though they were big in size they were not over the top. Flavours were not confusing either.
In between these burgers , we were sipping on Kokam Iced Tea. This was made from the organic concoction of Kokam which you rarely see otherwise. It was not oversweet. Perfect blend of tea and Kokam.
Banana and peanut chikki milkshake- I could go back again and again for this! The combination of Banana and Peanut Chickki with actual tiny chunks of chikki in it was beyond fabulpous. Its very filling too.
From Poutines , we opted for the Desi Wok Poutine. It had stir fried veggies in Schezwan Sauce gravy with Chilli Cheese. Though it was a different variant and seemed fine for me , didn’t work for my friend.
The Burger Brasserie apparently does really well for online orders. They also offer some amazing discount.
Their service is pretty good too.
However , I think it’s a really cute place to sit back and enjoy your bigg fat burger. I wouldn’t say go there if you are around Lokhandwala. I’d say, you all should go to Lokhandwala specially for their Indian Burgers!
