Being in BKC you are not short of eateries around. But having an Organic Food Café that’s totally value for money is rare!
I was invited by them to review their menu. A friend and I reached there a lil eaerly at around 7-30ish. Located inside the fancy corporate park of The Capital building, The Capital is a tiny eatery seating about 30 people at a go.
Having a menu that focuses on organic foods. A 100% Vegetarian Outlet and they also specialize in Jain Food.
A variety of Indian Breakfast that comprises of Poha and Khichadi Upma for people who crave the basic simple Indian breakfast.
A tech savvy joint that presents the menu on Tablets. A good range of All day snackers , Mains and Desserts. What also suits the diners is the Combo Packages.
What we had –
Beverages
Oreo Shake – A subtle sweet shake that was not over the top sweet just the way I like it.
Watermelon Lime Spritzer – A hint of lime with dominating flavours of watermelon. Recommended.
Lemonade Stand – A plain lemonade.
Starters
Mountain O Nachos – Nachos that were crispy with cheese (Cheese should have been more ) topped with lettuce beans and onions. This was average.
Corn Fritters – Looked tempting but were undercooked hence were chewy. Presentation was very average.
Hummus To You – This is what we liked from the starters presented to us. Pita bread was fresh and Hummus had just the right flavor.
Mains
Cali Rito – A Mexican special dish that is stuffed with beans , cilantro rice , and yumm cheesy quesso sauce. This is quite filling and is served with extra rice and a Salsa of onions , tomatoes and cilantros. Something for the Indian Palate I guess.
Desserts
Ferrero Nutella Mousse – Nutella lovers without thinking twice. Order this right away! Ooo soo delicious!
Spread Nutella Waffle – This is a Nutella covered waffle. And topped with biscuit crumbs. Waffle ends up getting a lil soggy but tastes good nonetheless.
For a Monday evening, they were full and this wasn’t just corporate crowd. There were families and groups of friends who had come there for a simple meal.
What works for The American Joint – Organic and Only Vegetarian. Pocket friendly.
What doesn’t work for The American Joint – Food needs some improvement in terms of taste as well as presentation.
Staff is very very attentive. Cheers to them.
