Dinner

Hitchki at #Palladium Mall is their 5th outlet in Mumbai. This swanky and modern outlet has the right mix of Desi+ Bollywood.

It is divided into three parts. As you enter you will see a part of seating by the tall windows peeping outside.

Next section is opposite a bright, stunning bar.

The third, more intimate and low-lit area is much bigger that the other two spaces and its adorned with Retro elements.

We were assisted by Ranjit, one of the servers. He knew the menu very well and had some great recommendations. We relied majorly on his recommendations as the menu was a little too extensive.

We started with Til Chahta Hai Bao (INR 290)

These were 'crispy veg' stuffed Baos generously sprinkled with sesame. The sweetness of Sweet chili sauce and the pungent flavor of Wasabi Mayo were balanced very well.

Next we had Naan Khol Ke Sun Lo (INR 345)

A dish with Paneer Kebabs, Garlic Naan, served with Pyaaz and Chutneys.

This was the weakest dish of the evening as it lacked flavor. We felt that it was not marinated well. Chutney served along made it better. Very Instagrammable dish though.

Note: You can choose the variations such as – Reshmi, Pahadi, Tikka, and Malai

This was washed down with one of their signature cocktails

Aatmanirbhar (INR 596) An interesting cocktail with a lot of drama. i.e various liquors coming together with smoke and what not! (Watch the video at the end of the blog post). It’s a DIY drink. So it's fun to make it too!

Lollyta (INR 365) A white rum-based cocktail made interestingly with a salted Mango Lolly and Strawberry Puree.

Lungi Spice from their Refreshers menu (INR 295)

A vodka-based drink with roasted curry leaves and spiciness of chilies. I loved it!

We also had a mocktail.

Dil Mange More (INR 190) A drink that looked great on the menu with elements such as Aam Panna, Aam Papdi, and dried red chili. However, it felt very flat and reminded us of something like a mix of Mangola and Rasna.

For mains we had Mere Paas Maa Hai (INR 320)

Which was Maa ki Kaali Daal Makhni with Aloo Tuk and Methi Garlic Naan.

This was a delicious Dal Makhni. It was creamy and loaded with butter. The Methi Garlic Naan was aromatic. Aloo Tuk was a smart addition.

They should have added laccha pyaaz to it as it would have completed the dish and would have looked even prettier.

Japanese Yakisoba (INR 330)

These were stir-fried Soba Noodles. We were confused between their pot rice and this. We are glad we chose these noodles. Silky in texture and amazing in flavor.

We finished our meal with Chew Roz (INR 310)

These were Churros dusted with Cinnamon Sugar and presented with a dip of Nutella and Sea Salt Caramel. Churros were crispy yet soft. This was one of the best dishes of the evening. The presentation was on point.

Pros: Location, Ambiance, Portion, Variety

Cons: Very extensive menu.

Here is a reel covering our experience.
