We recently reviewed Novotel Chennai SIPCOT a hotel in Chennai. Here is a blog post that covers our experience.
Novotel Chennai SIPCOT is a 5 Star Hotel by Accor Group that’s located at SIRUSERI, the IT hub of Chennai, where major IT companies are based. As it is located in a business-centric area, it offers a fantastic accommodation solution for Business travelers as well as leisure guests. Another great advantage is its a Pet-Friendly Hotel. Yes, that makes it a favorite among families and couples alike.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we met their Marketing head- Harshvardhan Dengwekar who greeted us and took us to their All Day Dining Restaurant. A spread-out restaurant with beautiful natural light in all areas and decorated with funky elements such as a vibrant scooter.

We began our meal with some Tandoori Cauliflower and Stir-Fried Vegetables. Followed by Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Makhni with Chur Chur Naan, and Laccha Naan.
All of it was packed with flavor and scrumptious. We also met with the Executive Chef Mr. Rahul Bhale.
We finished our meal with assorted sweets from the buffet.
After a lavish lunch, we headed to our room.
We were allotted the room on their highest floor i.e. 9th floor overlooking the greenery around and with a view of backwaters and bay area in the background.
The rooms are contemporary with all the modern amenities. We loved the view from the room.
In no time, the chef had some special desserts sent to our rooms as a welcome gesture. It was indeed very thoughtful!
Such feasting needed an afternoon nap and that’s what we did!
After freshening up in the evening we stepped to the pool area where our dinner was arranged by reserving a table by the team.
*There was also a couple who was having their special proposal night*
The open-air pool is at the same level as the restaurant and has an access to the bar as well.
With the ongoing IPL fever, we thought catching up on some live matches with a pint of beer would be ideal!
After chugging down some beer at the bar, we started our Five Course Dinner by the Pool which was specially planned by the chef.
First arrived on our table, The Manchow Soup which was poured out of the kettle for dramatic effect and it sure worked. Even the fried noodles served were unlike the usual we eat. These were thinner and crispier.
This was followed by Watermelon Feta Salad and a plate full of Chaat! We hogged on both and loved it to the T.
Then we were served Pesto Arancini. This literally melted in the mouth.
Our next appetizer was Stuffed Paneer Tikka. This was stuffed with dry fruits, tending it a sweeter taste.
Although there were some more interesting mains to be served, we were so full that we requested a simple Ghee Rice and Triveni Dal. This was the highlight of the meal. Because for me, it’s the subtlety of the flavors for the simplest dishes that works wonders!
Finally, for dessert, we were served Chocolate Overload a gooey dessert with a combination of hot and cold. With satiated taste buds, we finished our meal and called it a night!
After a good night’s rest, we were again welcomed for a lovely breakfast at The Square.
We picked a mix of Indian and Continental breakfast from the buffet.
Apart from the above-mentioned facilities, Novotel SIPCOT also offers-
A Spa– Meghavi with adequate treatment rooms.
A Fitness Centre (Operational 24*7)
A Lounge that has ample space where the hotel can make arrangements for movie nights or similar activities for small groups. Having many upscale residential societies close by, many prefer small get-togethers here.
The Banqueting space to take care of meetings and social events.
A Kids Play Area and a coffee/ bakery item pick-up point at the lobby level.
Even the In-Room Dining facility is 24*7
Although away from the City Center, there are many things to do around the hotel.
The hotel arranges guided tours and heritage walks. It's just a drive away from the East Coast Road (ECR) which boasts many adventure theme parks, beaches & Cafes.
Marina Mall is less than a kilometre away from the hotel and is a hangout spot for shopping and chilling.
After a lazy breakfast, we checked out from the hotel and headed for our next experience with Novotel OMR.
